To international students - You need to know who is bullshit

Fake Expert

This post is written for international students or non-Cantonese-speaking students. The best education is to teach you how to identify who is bullshit. If you don't speak Cantonese, you probably don't feel there are so many fake-expert in Hong Kong. They keep bullshit all the time and trying to "mentor" students, they hurt you and you don't even know. Let me tell you what they did and how to find out who is bullshitting.

1. Fake-expert has high education, they probably have a master/phd degree. Their age is over 40. If you are a teenager, when they stand in front of you, deep in your mind you will assume he is an expert in some areas. You will listen to what they say. Those uncles love to point you in some direction they don't even know what it is. They love you to ask them questions, and then they just point you to Mars. They feel high when you behave you agree with them. To identify who is bullshitting, you just need to remember one thing : If you ask solid question and they give you solid answer, they are FAKE. For example: if you ask them what algorithm can solve a problem, if they don't speak out the name of the algorithm, instead, they ask you to read some book or youtube, they are just FAKE. If you find they fake you, as you are a teenager, I wouldn't suggest you mock them in front of them, because they are stingy and you will be in danger. But you should tell your friend they are fake.

2. If they try to fake you with their multi-decade-experience. You can identify whether they are fake or not in this way: Just ask them to show you the code, or actually operate the thing. If they can't, they are just FAKE. Don't listen to them for any bullshit.
